A low, steady vessel for the most patient plants in the house. The Stoic Basin takes its name seriously — wide-set, grounded, and unbothered, it's shaped for trees that measure their growth in years, not weeks.
The shallow, rounded profile isn't just a look: it's built for bonsai and other miniature trees, whose roots spread sideways rather than down. The whole surface is wrapped in a fine stone-like texture that reads as rendered ceramic from across the room and invites a touch up close. Shown here in deep red and warm sand — printed to order in your choice of colours.
Built for slow living: the perforated base drains freely into a low-profile matching tray, so you can water thoroughly without flooding the roots — exactly what shallow-rooted trees want — and without a mark on the surface below.
Perfect for bonsai and ficus ginseng, shallow-rooted succulents, or composing a miniature indoor landscape — moss, stones, and one small tree holding court.
Material: Printed in PLA — a plant-based bioplastic made from renewable cornstarch, not petroleum. Rigid, precise, and significantly lower in embodied carbon than conventional plastics. Like all natural materials, it's happiest indoors and away from sustained direct heat.
Care: Wipe with a soft damp cloth. Not dishwasher safe. Keep away from prolonged exposure to heat sources to maintain shape.
